Laura Vollset with FieldSketch Farm made the most of their gorgeous, sustainably grown fresh flowers to create a lush and abundant set of floral designs focused on beautiful fall textures, including berries and seed pods. On the day of the shoot, the team was surprised to find out that a new baby alpaca was being born right on-site, and our couple even got the chance to take some pictures with the new member of the local breeder’s family.

As luck would have it, Rockstar Alpacas, one of the top alpaca breeding farms in the country, was only just down the street in nearby Royal Oaks and super excited for the chance to provide the love and affection that literally radiates from the beautiful animals.

Laura Vollset with FieldSketch Farm and I were brainstorming when the idea struck to bring a little fun to the event by adding the famously cuddle prone animal to the next shoot. Alpacas love to be hugged, and are just as good for photos as they are at bringing laughter to any outdoor reception. Who doesn’t love an alpaca? Cute and cuddly animals are becoming quite the guests of honor at many hip and front of fashion weddings in the Northern California area.
